Behavior problems can sometimes be a parent’s number one concern, especially if behaviors are severe.

We’ve had our share of behavior issues, even on the severe end of the spectrum. I know from experience that dealing with extreme behavior can be a nightmare.

When we are faced with these challenges, sometimes we have to put on our detective hat and find out what’s causing the problem.

In our family, medical problems are by far the most common cause of behaviors. Allergies would be at the top of the list.

Keep in mind that other allergies, such as mold sensitivities can also cause a lot of trouble. So this article is not a complete list of everything that could cause problems, but hopefully it can get you started.
